I have seen these...but I cannot find what to change in the MG_CFG file...

Can you help me? Shall I leave the MG_CFG as it is and not change anything in there?

In the newcamd.list I added only the CWS lines that I see in subscriptions settings. There are also 2 other active lines CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300, CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000.

I read all these you say.

1) The mg_cfg was almost the same, I set it for my receiver.
2) I have added the CWS lines in the newcamd.list file.
3) I upgrade with these my Amiko Alien receiver.
4) I reboot and activate the mgcamd plug in.
I use 2 files as you said and I have deleted the oscam files.

I go to the channel and wait...but nothing...it is just saying scramble...
Now what? I cannot find in the forum any particular information.

Perhaps, the problem is in AMIKO Alien 8900 firmware. Have you tested other packages?
We created separate topics re:unlucky receivers, for example, Protek. The problem is in the firmware. So, you have to upgrade the receiver firmware, read also any information in AMIKO Alien 8900 related forums - what are the problems - pluses and minuses. Unfortunately, we can do nothing to help you with your receiver. The model is unknown. Ask technical support of the receiver only.

There is the choice of Alien in the mg_cfg file.
You can see it down where it says B: { 01 } dbox2/alien NewCamd client.

It is DBox2 compatible.

The settings provided on our forum are for Dreambox and similar receivers. If you cannot use these settings with your receiver, it means that something is wrong either with firmware or emulator. IP boxes, AZ boxes are OK with the settings provided. Find any information on the support forums of your receiver. We cannot advice you because we don't know this model. Sorry.

Hi guys I have read the tutorial on how to get a log file for your dreambox and I have installed 3csyslog, edited the mg_cfg and then I telnet in to the box and use the correct commands but 3csyslog isnt logging anything. I have not had ESPN at all (black screen) since I started my subscription and all sky sports channels seem to glitch/freeze every few minutes, I have wanted to post this for 2-3 days but ive been trying to get a log file cos I know thats the easiest way for you to identify the problem. Can u please help me out in some way cos I need a log file so I can get the channels I am paying you for. Thanks guys, Rob aka Insomniac

In your signature, you say that your receiver is DM500 clone. 3csyslog was written especially for DM500. Either, you haven't set it up properly, or your receiver is not DM500 clone.

It is a separate thread re: ESPN in SkyUK. The channel was extracted as a separate channel and provider asks additional payment. We are not going to add the channel as well as other channels extracted. As for freezes/glitch - they depend on your settings (mg_cfg file). Use default settings. Use also ignore-priority lists, also follow this recommendations:

Ok thanks for the reply about ESPN im glad that is clarifyed. Yes my box is a dm500 clone 100% as ive checked but 3csyslog is not logging anything, I know I have followed the tutorial step by step but it is only listening on 192.168.1.2 and I cant add or change the IP it is logging. I have edited the mg_config exactly as stated but I get 3csyslog logs nothing. Can someone please help me either set up 3csyslog properly so it can work or tell me another way to get a log off my box as it is really annoying having it freeze on the sports channels cos you end up missing goals. I have already done the ignore and priority list so its not that causing the problem. Thanks, Rob aka Insomniac

Thank you for your reply. I'll write a operator, to be exchanged for other subscription. I just wanted to watch the Premier League. Can you recommend other subscriptions where it runs well? I have 1w,19,2 e, 23.5 e, 28.2 e

I need to use cccamd. I have my home server for my card, which is connected via cccamd. It is problem? I can get on the black list?

2. Once, when you find yourself in the black list, please don't be surprised. The EMU was tested with our server and we do not recommend it for use. Only mgcamd or camd3.

I think the problem is that 3csyslog is listening on 192.168.1.2 even though my dreambox is 192.168.1.5
To be honest I am confused about something what IP do you put in mg_cfg ? Ive tried entering my dreambox ip, the ip in the tutorial you just posted but still I get nothing in the logs. Sorry for being a pain in the ass but it is madness not being able to get a log off my dreambox. Cheers, Rob aka Insomniac

After you install 3csyslog, a syslog.log will be created once you set up the software. The file is being created in the same folder. It is opened with a text editor. Play with settings, put any IP of PC you know and restart the software again. Finally, it should work. I use it with my DM800HD though it was written for DM500...

2. We offer just what we offer, and other EMU is at your own risk. We do not know any combination how it works with both EMU. I think you must have 2 receivers with different EMU- one with official card and the other one- for sharing (in this case).
