F3 box

Got the skybox F3 up and running in 5 mins...just copy the newcamd.list with cws line from sub and thats it. no need to copy any other file. If you copy the ingnore.list the box doesnt connect to the server....just my two penneth worth, hope it helps others with similar problem.

you know when they give you a free test line and it for the history channel and its protocol is "newcamd" but when yo go to buy the subscription the protocol is "newcamd525" and i don't have that on my skybox f3 will that make a difference?

Mgcamd uses the newcamd 5.25 protocol...

Hi!!

Firstly I Have a skybox F3 HD

From my subscription page I have copied the mgcamd CWS exactly as it appears into a file named Newcamd.list
however, this has not worked. My skybox says no file found when I try to add it in the mgcamd config menu.

I also tried the cccam as an alternative to test, that is added ok and channels work fine, but obviously isn't recommended which is why I don't want to keep using it.

So it sounds like my Newcamd.list has something wrong with it. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Am I right having the DES key numbers 01-14 in the config? (not sure what that is. Is it my receiver type?)
Also at the end of the CWS it has 'wan cardserv' is that corrects well?

Hi, as for DES key and CWS line - everything is correct and you have to copy and paste data received in the billing as it is.
Have you restarted emulator after you added the lines required or you just waited for the picture to appear?

That's the problem I have, adding the lines. I have copied and pasted the line and made the file newcamd.list and put it on USB stick. On the receiver trying to add from USB is where it doesn't recognise there's anything on the USB stick. Sorry, tried to explain as good as i can, Does that make sense?

It depends on your receiver- you have to know it better - how to add CWS lines to emulator.
I think, you have to find any support forum of your box and read - which emulators, protocols are used and how to set them up.

Hi,

Ok ive got the newcamd.list on the reciever now, which works fine with all channels. Leaving the Newcamd.list in place, As soon as I add the ignore and replace list every channel shows as scrambled. When I remove ignore and replace list, everything works again.

Any ideas?

There is the only idea - remove ignore-priority lists if you see that your receiver works fine without them.

What do the other lists do? Do they improve the connection to your server or something?

For my first watch last night, over 3hrs of TV there was about 3 10second freezes where it said scrambled. Is that acceptable from your point of view, for getting banned etc?

Use google to find out what they do. I can tell that ignore, priority are replace lists are improving connection making your receiver to zap channels faster. However, freezes and, consequently, ban is not good.
1. May depend on your internet connection (check ping and route to the server)
2. May also depend on your firmware or emulator work.
