3 Tuners, 2 x DVB-S2 and 1x DVB-T2
« : 21 Июня 2019, 23:29:25 »
Hello everybody,

I am considering buying a new receiver and want to receiver DVB-T2 as well. For me it would be simpliest to exchange my existing receiver with 2 DVB-S2 tuners by a new one with 2 DVB-S2 tuners as well and 1 DVB-T2 tuner.
Of course I have dual login already. I am not wondering what will happen if I have a third tuner soon. Are DVB-T2 tuners counted as well? I am especially interested what happens since there are some encrypted channels which thus may lead to a request to your servers (I am not sure, not a pro)...

Is there any chance to continue with the dual option even I have this third DVB-T2 tuner or am I running into a ban?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

since there is no answer till now I will to shorten my question:

When I have three tuners, one with DVB-T2 and two with DVB-S2 can I use dual login then or do I run into a ban?

Thanks!

You can use a STB with triple tuner (2x satellite). The server does not interest the number of tuners you have in your satellite receiver, the server does not even recognize if you have no tuner or satellite dish at all. The server demand only
1. only one connection (one emulator on one receiver)
2. with dual login 2 simulations decoding (usually used for watching one channel and recording another one, or recording 2 channels at the same time.

Its not clear in which country you want to use DVB-T reception, but the country I know the DVB-T transmission uses own cards = not compatible with satellite reception = your receiver will not even send deconding requests for DVB-T to the cs-server as these cards are not supported by the server. So DVB-T can only be used for FTA channels.

Simple test: switch on an encrypted DVB-T channel while connected to the server > most likely nothing happens = picture not decoded >go to Billing Center > Connection history >> as long as there is no error/violation listed as I expect everything is fine.
If the DVB-T channels get decoded by cs-server (very unlikely) its also possible to use the cs-server, you only need to make sure that you only decoded a maximum of 2 channels simultaneously !
It is the same like usual STBs with 2 sat tuners and a single login subscription: works fine as long as you only decode one channel *g*

Another point is a problem with FCB-tuners (full band caputure tuners) like some new receivers have. These tuners can receive several channels/frequencies at the same time with only one hardware tuner. As far as I know this FCB-feature need to be disabled in the receiver settings to avoid problems with the server
AX-HD51 STB using NeutrinoHD and Oscam with VIP-Astra. Dual login on server_81 via Cable-ISP

Thanks for clarification :) . This helped a lot - great post. Much appreciated.

Unfortunately I cannot test it as you mentioned, since I have not bought the new hardware. But thanks to your explanations and some research I am now pretty sure that my DVB-T2 setup does not conflict with the server rules, since I never will ask the server for a key even if there are some encrypted channels.

Thanks for also mentioning the FBC tuner issue. Fortunately I am aware of this :)
