dm 7025 help needed

Hi,

Can you please tell me detailed instructions on how to configure a DM7025 using camd3?
I have already subscribed for hotbird vip packet and have read almost all the forum posts
but I still can make it work.
Do I need to use a different cam?

You mau use camd3 protocol but not for all packages. The most universal is MgCamd 1.31 (1.35 - read the forum). Instructions how to are available on the forum.
Question: are FTA (free to air) channels working for you?

Thanks for the quick reply.
FTA channels are working, I used to watch some other channels using cccam.
The receiver is already connected to the internet.
I will install mgCamd 1.31, I think it is better than 1.35 for the vip hotbird package.

but I think I am missing some info like des key?
I have only received settings for camd3

I installed mgcamd 1.31 and I put the cws lines in the
newcamd.list in the confiq dir
I also changed the ignore.list file and I inserted this line
N: { 06 } 5 30
in to mg_cfg

but still nothing

Did yo edit newcamd.list in the /var/keys catalog, and then restart mgcamd?

yes,
newcamd.list looks like this:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 20

and 7 cws lines that i have copied from my subscriptions

1. You have initially subscribed with camd3 protocol. You received corresponding settings for camd3.
2. You need to change protocol type in your subscription. There is a button under the protocol type (change).
3. Settings will become active on the next morning (6 AM Moscow time).
4. You will probably be banned, because you are trying to connect the server using wrong protocol.
5. When you change protocol type (camd3 to newcamd), you'll get new settings with DES key etc (including different port numbers).
6. Only after that, you will be able to set up your receiver and start using newcamd protocol with mgcamd emulator (this will happen not earlier than tomorrow morning).

I have already changed my protocol to mgcamd,
so I am going to wait till tomorrow.

Delete all files available in /var/keys and download mgcamd1.31 again including all configs (via blue panel-addons). I think, your ccam files conflict with mgcamd files. Or, the best solution is to re-install gemini (or other) image and download emulator again.
Check also your dreambox connection to internet.
