EMM violation in Connection History even with EMM disabled

Hi,

I have successfully set up some servers from my package to the box in my signature. I have patched the firmware and set up the servers using mgcamd and, I think, newcamd procotol.

Generally not major issues with the service, so far so good..

However, I logged in my profile and under Connection History it says I am violating the rules of the server because my box is sending EMM requests to the server. There is an option under the server settings, called EMM Enable and that has always been off since I first set it up, as I remembered this note on the website, but I have also double checked them again and the message about the violation is still there. :-\

Can you help please? Just the other day I managed to get everything set up, don't want to get a disabled account already! :-[

Many Thanks,
moog84

Hi, have you patched the firmware by yourself? You don't use a ready-made and already patched firmware?
If you are specialist in this, it must work OK without any problems. If not, I think, you have to find out support forum of your receiver and look for patched firmware.

Hi,

Sorry I'm a newbie and nowhere near a specialist. That's why maybe I was misunderstood.

I did use a ready-made patched firmware update. After installation it brought up the locked functionalities needed to set up your service.

I may have had the EMM Enable setting on for a few minutes at the beginning while I was setting the servers.

Is it possible that it was picked up and brought the warning in the Connection History but has now stopped? Any way to see if the EMM requests are still being sent?

Thanks

In mg_cfg file (must be, since it's linux), check A parameter, and if different from A: { 00 }, set this value. Then, restart emulator.

Thanks for the reply.

Is that file on the receiver's memory?

Do I edit that by connecting a computer on the receiver?

Seems that you don't know your receiver.
Unfortunately, I don't know your receiver too.
Question - how did you set up your receiver for sharing? How did you add your login, password, server name, port No.? And how do you know that this is Linux receiver?

I don't know it that well no, but getting to know it. I read somewhere it's Linux.

The way I set it up was to save the patched firmware on a USB, extract it, then open the extracted file on the receiver.

It was installed and brought up new functionalities, including a menu item for easily setting up servers (ports, usr, pass etc), without having to access and manually edit any files. In those settings there is also a EMM option but is disable.

As far as I can see in the menu, there is no option to access or edit any files.

Hope that makes sense.

Actually I found out that it is 'Linux based OS but a closed source receiver'

In order to set it up, you need full access to all files inside. However, this is not the way to edit any file, if it is closed system. Well, you will have to wait for the newer patch, maybe they amend some errors.
