Referal link, cookie?

Hi.

When I post my referal link, and someone click on it.   Should he create a user immediately, or does cardsharingserver.com save a cookie on his computer, for later signup, with my referal link?

If yes.. what kind of cookie.. 10 day cookie, 30 days, or maybe 60 days?
