Hi. Some peers sometimes get freezes and get message: Allowed limit - 1 request per 10 seconds, 360 requests per 1 hour, 8640 requests per 24 hours.
Violation of rule No.11. Why allowed limit for SkyUK is 1 request per 10 seconds, when in average it is 1 request per 8 seconds?  Peers have settings on mg_cfg recommended by admin of server.

suma

Hi,
If you have freezes, show them in your log-file incl. description of the channel.
I think, Moderator is not stupid to set this value as general for all packages, not only for SkyUK.
Freezes may occur if your Internet provider uses dynamic IP addresses, you may check it. Static IP is better.
Advice - leave only one (main) server, disable the 2nd one (reserve) and check if freezes will continue or stop.
How to check- enter billing, Connections history and check if you are connected from different IP addresses. If so, delete the 2nd server (reserve) and leave only main server.

Anyway, cust brake violation rule. They decoders are prepared properly for sharing, and they dont have any knowledge about cs. So I don't think that anybody is cheting.

suma

People who does not know about CS are using official cards.
Those who want to use CS, must know all specifics re: subject.

So what for is resellers board? Do you think resellers cust should understand everything? If they cust have knowledge about cs, they no need resellers at all. What do you think?

suma

Resellers should understand everything first and foremost, as resellers usually sell ready-tuned receivers with subscription.
If you sell receiver just in order to sell it, you are bad reseller because later on, your clients will claim on you.

P.S. Typically, resellers pay for their clients after they sell receiver and the clients are satisfied with the service. In this case, clients are typically do not understand the subject of CS. All responsibility for service (and later on- for earned % is on reseller)

In overall your service is no bad, but some settings of server are on edge of limits. If 1 request per 10 seconds, then when peer will change channel,  for example 5 times, in one minute he might  be over limit. Thats a problem.  Regards.

suma

5 times in one minute is even rare that it is allowed (60:5=12)
If he changes (zap) the channel each 5 sec or 6 sec - that will be overlimit.

If you take SkyUK, peer shall zap the channel not faster than once per 8 seconds - this is the idea.
If he zap the channel each 4-5-6-7 seconds - that will be overlimit. He shall wait a bit. Reseller (if you are reseller) must tell the client about zapping frequency beforehand. If the client is not stupid, he will understand (I don't mean children, who do not understand what they are doing).
