Sky UK glitching/freezing

Hi I am getting glitching and freezing on some skyuk channels, mostly E4 HD sky 1 HD/SD and several others? is there a way to fix this?thanks

Check BER value- must be "0", if BER is above "0" - check signal.

BER is 0, SNR is 58% and ACG is 22%?
all Freeview channels are fine just sky?

We have just checked SkyUK- no problems, responds <200ms

What do you mean by all Freeview channels? What about all other encrypted channels? Are they all glitching and freezing for you?

The free channels BBC1 ITV ect are all fine.
it is working ok at the minute, next time it happens if I create a log with 3CSyslog will that show what the problem is? it is not all encrypted channels just some?

Look at your responses - they are from 96ms to 800 and above and check internet connection, it is not stable.

I have a 10mb connection with Virgin media, what would be causing the connection problems do you know? the dreambox is connected via a LAN cable and not Wifi so there should be no problems?

You may have even 100mb connection, but if it is not stable - this is a problem. Look at the response time in your log-file - it is jumping greatly...

could this be due to MgCamd? I hear there is a new version 1.37 that has faster response times should i update to that?

We have not tested 1.36 or 1.37 yet.
1.35 is recommended.

Ok, After reading up it seems the problem is with Virgin medias modem/router

Well, now you can see that reasons for glitching/freezes can be various. So, check all settings in your modem, make it working as router, not just a simple modem. If you use DCC (Dreambox Control Center), you can easily set up your modem as a router via this software (DM <---Router--->PC network).

It is already working as a router it is modem and router in 1
