Title: BT Sport not decoding
Post by: kommando on 15 August 2015, 14:12:01
I have lost BT Sport before, regained it by rescanning as they had changed transponders but this morning it has gone again but rescanning and rebooting does not bring it back, I am only need BT Sport 2 but the rest of the BT channels are also not decoding. Log files are as follows

For BT Sport 2 C4C7 (and also C4C8)

[mg0] newcamd route ******* cant decode (70ms)

All BT sport down for me as well. Rescan found new BT Sport HD channels at 11974 Vert but they don't clear. BT Sport 1 SD at 11083 hor will occasionally clear for a few seconds.

I've tried both the sd and the hd transcoded, no channel is clearing. Maybe the cards are over loaded as this is one of the few times people watch bt. For the early premier league kick off. Edit: bt Europe is clearing ok.

Been posting to the wrong thread. Summary of my other posts on the wrong thread.

Tried scanning and used all the possible FEC combinations and could not get a channel added, note my box is SD only and the HD in the settings possibly means I cannot use this transponder, plus your packages do not decode HD.

Currently on Lyngsat BT Sport 2 is listed as

http://www.lyngsat.com/tvchannels/uk/BT-Sport-2.html

11082H for SD and 11597V for HD

****************

The rescan of 11082H gave 18 channels including all the BT Sport channels, signal is good and EPG is showing but no decoding.

*****************

11082H would seem to be the correct current SD frequency

http://www.a516digital.com/2015/07/satellite-update-few-more-changes-to.html

This week, some channels, including CNN, Travel Channel, TruTV, Heart TV, Clubland and BT Sport in standard definition are moving from Astra 2F to Astra 2G and new frequencies as the load is balanced across the three new satellites.

11082 H
From 02/07/15

I added 2 new lines and kept the old ones but no joy on BT, the port used is unchanged when it should be picking up the new port.

So maybe the hash is needed, other than BT rest of channels are ok still.

I use DCC 2.96 to connect to the dreambox and then use FTP to go to folder Var/Keys and then right click on Newcamd.list and select edit, you can then add the lines.

Maybe connected to CAID 0963 vs CAID 0960.

Still getting nowhere, Newcamd was not working so have gone to CCCamd through Mgcamd showing as    CCcam 2.0.1 (mgcamd), all other channels as being decoded and still no joy.

Removed all BT channels, rescanned but they still will not decode, port is showing as correct port for CCCamd

1. Don't change newcamd.list, leave it as it is
2. Create cccamd.list in the same directory where newcamd.list and mg_cfg are located
3. Go to the billing, My subscription
4. Under the table with your subscription details, you will see Settings for emulator CCCAM for Cccam protocol. Click settings for Cccam protocol. You will need C line (there are two C lines - with the main and back-up server).
5. Copy both C lines and paste to cccamd.list
6. In mg_cfg file, change G parameter from 01 to 32
7. Note: in your receiver, MgCamd must be active.
8. Reboot MgCamd emulator. That's all you need.
Title: Re: BT Sport not decoding
Post by: kommando on 16 August 2015, 14:36:37
Suma, that is not exactly what I did, I still have the Newcamd.list there, I created cccamd.list and added in the lines from the subscription page and edited the Mg_cfg so the network mode changed from 01 Newcamd to 32 cccamd. This works for all channels except for BT and my connections history shows the correct cccamd port from my subscriptions is being used. I did a full reboot as well just to be sure.

Only clue is the Setana channels do not decode either but never use them so do not know if they ever decoded and do not need them anyway.

I followed these instructions

Settings for emulator MGCAMD for Cccam protocol
The configuration file - /var/keys/cccamd.list

In order to make Cccam protocol to be active within mgcamd emulator, it is required to specify G: { 32 } parameter in mg_cfg file. C-lines should be added to /var/keys/cccamd.list file.

0963 is not in ignore, and is in priority

0960 is in ignore and is not in priority

Title: Re: BT Sport not decoding

I will explain for future:

In your log-file, CAID 0963 is rejected. Emulator needs CAID 0960, but it is in your ignore list. It means that CAID 0963 is in your priority.list (if you use priority list). You need to delete CAID 0963 from priority.list and place it to ignore.list for emulator to ignore it.
And, consequently, in your case, 0960 was ignored, but shall be in priority for emulator to select the right CAID (in our case, it is 0960).
Title: Re: BT Sport not decoding
Post by: kommando on 16 August 2015, 16:52:55
Yes, got BT back  8) but now lost rest of Sky, so its the solution for 0963 but looks like 0960 is now being rejected or is something else wrong.

Ignore

X: { 09 63 }
X: { 09 61 }

Priority

V: { 04 06 00 }
V: { 04 28 00 }
X: { 06 02 }
X: { 06 52 }
X: { 09 60 }
X: { 4A E1 }
X: { 0D 96 }
X: { 18 33 }

I can get round it as I only need BT Sport for MotoGP but would like to have both.
Title: Re: BT Sport not decoding
Post by: suma on 16 August 2015, 17:13:11
kommando, why are you using ignore and priority lists?
Dreambox is a clever machine and emulator understands quite well which CAID is needed and which is not.
Try to delete both - ignore and priority lists - and see what happens.
Don't forget to reboot emulator after you delete both files.

I was just following the posts when I set the box up 18 months ago to access the service, the files came from this forum and as it worked I left them in place. I have renamed them by adding old and will try later when the latest recording has finished. This is the first issue in 18 months where the setup has been the problem.

Thanks for all your advice.
Title: Re: BT Sport not decoding
Post by: suma on 16 August 2015, 18:24:57
kommando, if you download recommended archive now (which is dated 16.10.2010), you will find that ignore.list is empty, and some entries in priority.list. Actually, for linux-receivers, we do not recommend to use the lists at all. Especially, for DM (all models). The lists are needed for the receivers with emulators not able to select the right caid. So, if your subscription is working without any ignore-priority lists, don't use them at all.

Was looking where I got the info on the priority and ignore list

https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=24626.0

Topic: SkyUK parameters

It is recommended to add the following entries to ignore.list for those using MgCamd emulator:

/var/keys/ignore.list
X: { 09 60 }
X: { 09 61 }
/var/keys/prioroty.list
X: { 09 63 }

Which is exactly how mine were until today.

You have noticed the post dated August 24, 2010 and it was (probably) actual to the date when the next post appeared.
Typically, all ignore-priority advices are for those who is using receivers that cannot correctly recognise and select the right CAID. For Dreambox users, no lists are required. As I told before, DM are clever receivers and need no additional plugins or settings.
As CAID 0960 for Irish channels was added not so long ago, we had to amend old information by just adding a couple of lines re:new caid. We did not specify the subject in a separate topic (as we usually do) in order not to attract attention of interested persons (i think, you know what i mean).

Is BT SPORT being fixed ? As I have no idea what to do to get bt sport working again, do I have to go through the procedure outlined in the previous posts or is this just a temporary fix? If it's temporary will bt sport come back on without me doing anything?  Thanks

You missed FEC. Should be 11973/V/sr29500 FEC 3/4 DVB-S2

Hi,
OpenPLI is not a problem. Are you sure that your dish is tuned correctly?

Make sure you're tuned to 11973/V/sr29500 FEC 3/4 DVB-S2

In "My Subscription" for mgcamd click "Show settings for Newcamd protocol", then copy the entry that begins: "CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300"  - should be 3 lines, put these into /var/keys/newcamd.list . My mgcamd entry was out of date and missing the extra server port line.

understand that this may not be the right thread but had a look to try and log into my billing account but am not recognised any ideas @Suma?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

Sky has wide and narrow beams. Seems that you are in the area under the narrow beam. What to do? Look for any more professional specialists to tune the dish. If fail, forget about BT - it's not for your area.

On a non Linux machine like TM 5402 HD, in order to watch BT Sport you have to manually change the port from XXX42 to XXX43 on the Newcamd configuration for each server, (although I don't use the backup server because it generates stay alive requests and there is no way to configure it not to). I tried the CCCam configuration but with BT Sport SD and HD you just get a few seconds before it freezes.  Incidentally, if you try CCCam and Newcamd emulators at different times in the same 24 hr period you get a warning about rule violation - even though you are not using both emulators at the same time. I hope I don't get banned!

Re my previous post I now find that by adding a duplicate of the server_45 connection but with the XXX43 port I can have both connections working at the same time. I couldn't get this to work before but uploading a modified CSINfo file where I copied and pasted the configuration and just changed to port seems to have done the trick.

Scanned all replies but can not find answer. Skybox 5f just entered new frequencies for bt sport astra 2g 11082 H 22000 5/6 and Astra 2e 11386 V 29500 3/4. Now on epg showing details but still not decoding. Connect OK as getting sky sports no problem. Any ideas?

Hi,
There is only one idea I have - to address your questions to technical support of your receiver. Google for Skybox f5 forum and ask your questions there. We have a specialized sub-forum Re:Hardware (receivers), post your question there - maybe Skybox f5 users will advise you something

Been on forum (kingtech) and their are no threads re loss of BT only traffic is problems  re the new frequencies. Just a thought is the supplier of your signal a BT customer who gets BT sports as part of his package from BT. Would think the suppler needs to be a sky customer who is not a bt subscriber who pays for Bt as part of sky package. Also is this problem only on skyboxes5's?

skybox 5f - problem now sorted, checked the settings in my account and it was different to the settings set in the box, do not now why these settings have changed from those initially given.I was running on mgcamd input the new settings and got nothing even lost sky, deleted all settings. entered the new settings in cccam and hey presto got all bt programs back. Had to use tp list add to get hd on 11386 v 29500 3/4.
