Hi all I am getting the following info on my 'History' page :-
"Your receiver is sending too many KeepAlive requests to the server. Change the parameter responsible for frequency of KeepAlive requests to be sent to the server in the emulator settings. Recommended value - once per 300 seconds. If mgcamd emulator is used, change (or add) CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300 parameter in newcamd.list file Violation of rule No.7"
I have a Protek 9710 HD/IP receiver and how do I reset my settings to avoid getting these erorr messages?
Thank you.
Hi,
Ask this question to Protek 9710 HD/IP technical support.
We are not technical support of receivers, we support cardsharing.

Hi,
Newcamd of your receiver is sending duplicated asks to the server, or it is configured in the wrong way. However, this is not your fault, this is a fault of the firmware used in your receiver. Try updating it, maybe server notifications will stop.
thanks suma,
had me worried for a minute then. will try to update receiver.
I have the same problem and I have tried 3 different images with the config files from the forum.
Which servers are you connecting to? My main is 14 and backup 196.
Hi,
when i select a FTA channel (e.g. zdf) i see in the statistics section that the keep-alive log value continue increasing. is that normal?
Is it any conflict with your rules if the receiver is on a FTA channel?
Hi,
Try to delete the second server (back-up). Leave only the main one and restart emulator.
thank you suma,
I have already deleted the backup server.
when i turn in a FTA channel the receiver does not send decode requests but it sends keep-allive messages. is it ok with yoy isnt it?
Check, if the value CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300 is in your newcand.list
It must look like this:
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS = serverX portX login password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan cardserv
CWS = serverX portXX login password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan cardserv
CWS = serverX portXXX login password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan cardserv
etc. depending on the number of ports in your subscription, nothing else.
Check and if anything additional is available in your newcamd.list, delete it and restart emulator.
P.S. The number of requests is just an indicator in your connections history. If it is not critical, no problem. Just a warning that something's wrong in the settings (or emulator or whatever). We are not banning for the increased number of asks, just warning you.
Maybe, an image requires update or reflash, check it by yourself.
Thank you suma.
My settings are exactly as the example you gave.
