Title: Lost connection
Post by: watsupdoc on 06 December 2014, 16:53:58
I've emailed the moderator but haven't had a reply. I've lost connection (yesterday) on one of my two accounts. I don't know if cardsharing has blocked this ip address or my broadband provider has started blocking it. There are broadband dropping problems on it so that keeps changing the ip address - don't know if that has caused the problem.

The other thing is that the account that has stopped working has 9 characters - could that be an issue? My working account (on a different broadband connection) has 8 characters and is identical apart from the 9th character.

Hello,
In the billing (www.cardsharingserver.com), you can find "Connection history" with all your errors (if any).
I am sure that some rules have been violated and result was ban (maybe, short-term).
Check it and make all necessary changes in your configs if required. If the matter is in your IP change, this is a matter of your provider.
So, check Connection history first.

Suma, yes I've checked the connection history and there's nothing in there. Still no ping response to the server.

So, you have to contact Moderator by e-mail (moderator at cardsharing.cc) to check if your IP address (network or sub-network) is banned or not.
No other solutions.

I've been talking to the moderator and he says nothing was blocked at your end. I logged a ticket with my broadband provider (Plusnet), no reply from them but a few hours later, after another modem reboot, it all started working again!  :-\
Thanks Suma for the support.

I've lost the connection again from Plusnet ISP. Lost it on the 24th June and it still won't respond to telnet, it pings fine though. Contacted the moderator but there's been no reply. I'm looking to move ISPs from Plusnet - but I'm really not sure it's a problem with the ISP. telnet to the same account works fine from a different broadband line using BT.

Maybe, you've lost connection for other reason?
