Title: Dual login with Twin tuner in PC?
Post by: smithr on 16 March 2014, 18:11:37
I have a couple of questions.

1) I have a dual tuner DVB-S2 card in an HTPC using DVBLink TVSource to feed the channels into Windows media centre. Am I able to use this dual login feature with this setup or does it only work with set top boxes? I'm concerned that since each tuner is configured individually, they may look like different receivers.

2) If I purchase multiple packages, e.g, Sky UK and Astra HD+, Am I able to decode one channel from each package simultaneously? e.g, one Sky UK channel and one HD+ channel? I assume yes since I could do this with two accounts, but I thought it would make sense to check. I would prefer not to have to manage multiple accounts.

Hi,
I recommend to take a 3-day test for the both subscription and read this https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=28953.msg82043#msg82043
The thing is that your questions are not common or general on this forum. The most of the users have receivers, not DVB-cards. So, if you fail and get some e-mails with warning that our rules were violated - then, make a corresponding conclusion by yourself.

regards

Are you referring to the first question or the second?

I have a current one month Sky UK subscription which I am only using on one of the two tuners so I will wait until that expires and give it a go.

I'm pretty happy with the performance of the service so far though so I hope that it is possible to fix the problem without being banned if the experiment doesn't work.

First of all, to buy a dual-login subscription, you need to specify it in your billing personal page (read FAQ https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=32038.0).
Having the only subscription, you will not be able to watch 2 or more packages simultaneously using single-login.
But, before checking dual-login option in the billing, read the link i provided and be sure that you too will be able to use dual-login. If you are not sure, you may ask the user initiated that post any question and find out if he succeeded or not. As i told above, the dvb-cards are not so widely used with dual-login because CS-plugins were written many years ago and are unlikely supported now.
