I'm using mgcamd on my dm500v8. The box wil work at my friends house but not at mine. I have disabled all firewalls in the routers and even changed them and no luck.
Any help please.
Is internet provider the same at your friend's house and yours?

I think it may be that I need to open the port. I've checked and the port is closed but in the settings on the router the number s are right. The router is virgin superhub, tried evrything but for some reason wont open the port!
Try to reset router by default and start from the beginning
the line works on my box when not being used at my friends house? only one person can use it a time. he has 3 boxes running but if i leave my box on he cant view anything?
How do I know about your friend? You told that you've tested your box at your friend's home and it was OK. Does he use the same CS service?

I got it to work when his box was off, If i'm using the line then he cant. I have to switch my box off for his to work and vice versa.
Then, it means that your friend's line is adjusted correctly, yours - no. Find the reason of it in your house and settings.

correct me if i am wrong but the way i am reading this is you are using the same line in two boxes ie; one box at your friends house and the other box at your house WITH THE SAME LINE if this is correct then the reason its not working is you can only use one line per box hence the reason when your box is on your friends will be off because only one line can connect to the server at any one giving time you run the risk of getting banned from the server.
