I have a skybox M3 (pretty much same as Skybox F3)
I am using the supplied mgcamd files from http://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=28088.0
However my firmware only allows me to upload newcamd, ignore and replace.list by USB.
I basically need to know how to upload the mg_cfg and priority.list files to the Skybox, probably via FTP.
I don't have a com/rs232 port so that would have to be a last resort.
I've tried the Skybox LAN tool but it doesn't let me upload any file i want, only restricted ones that I have already uploaded.
I'm aware you can FTP to the box, but not sure how to set this up? I've used FTP, but not sure how to get an FTP server running on the box, or if its already running what the default logins are.

Did you have any luck uploading mg_cfg and priority list onto your openbox? I am currently in the same position any advice would be great.

hi guys i have the same problem with mg_cfg file , I even bought rs232 socket tut still no luck i don't know what else i need to connect my laptop with skybox maybe need some software. If somebody could help me please

there is no possibilty to upload the priority.list file because the mgcamd plugin does not have one.
And there is also no possibility to upload the mg_cfg file as you described, it is not listed within the lantool nor in the menu of skybox.

No way, SkyBox is a cheap receiver and what has been recommended in the link below is all we can recommend.
Unfortunately, I don't know is it possible to upload ignore-priority lists or mg_cfg file. Seems that it is not linux receiver. Enjoy what you have...
