I have experience of receivers for cable networks but haven't played around with sat receivers much.
So I'm a newbie to some of this but not a total noob to linux and receivers in general.
I had a quick mess around with a Skybox M3 last night and tried setting up a 'free test' on the box by copying over the mgcam files using USB (from sumas 'true archive'), and added the CWS line from the 'free test' page, but it wouldn't get a connection on the channel listed.
I see there are two mgcamd options in the menu, i cant remember the exact wording. Do I need to do anything in the other one? I recall it asked for the TCP port and DES key I think, but these were pre-filled with 1200 and the DES key listed on the free test page.
If some one could provide a step by step, that would be helpful.
Is there anything I've missed?

What a tit.. I forgot to remove skyuk's entries from the ignore list!!!
Just look at the ignore file in notepad, look for sky and remove the entries that are below, i think there were two.
