Hi, as you provide Service for Vodafone/Unitiymedia in the VIP Germany package... What Channels are in there? Is sky germany working?

Unitymedia DE, as free bonus package to VIP Germany, works fine for Unitymedia NRW cable network. As shown in the additional information for Newcamd protocol, these channel uses CA id 1834 (nagra) + 09C7 (nds) for Kabel Deutschland and 1838 for Unitymedia and give access to Sky package as well as Unitymedia channels (not all, but most). Within Unitymedia network the CAID 1838 is the only one of the 3 channels that get ECMs and of course is decoded from the server by that CA id.
FYI: Vodafone Kabel Detschland has bought Unitymedia around 2 years ago, but technically the networks are still separated, all Ex-Unitymedia customer still uses there old receivers and decoding cards. (all 3Unitymedia parts, NRW, Hessen and Baden-Württemberg got sold to Kabel Deutschland, where Unitymedia Badem-Württemberg is technically also different to Unitymedia NRW + Hessen)
The reason to post here: basically, as long as Sky Germany was decoded by satellite, I have a VIP-Astra subscription (still running for 5 month). I setup an additional account to test Unitymedia for a month and as explained, works fine for Unitymedia NRW network. Do you think about adding Kabel Deutschland/Unitymedia-package (without guarantee) to VIP-Astra as well (because many Sky Germany channels not decoded anymore) ? I want to keep my package as it is with access to the 2 remaining MTV-channels and porn on Astra, but I don't want to get 2 VIP-packages or VIP-All (too expensive). Also an option to offer cable channels as stand alone package if the price is fine (pricing is interesting: I can get Sky Germany only for 6$/month or I can get VIP-Astra, or VIP-Germany for 7$/month including much more packages like HD-Plus and ORF. So as stand alone package it should be cheaper than 6$ to be interesting for customers).
I don't want to talk about compensation, in January it was already suggested not to buy whole year subscription for Sky Germany, so I don't want to blame anyone. However, after Sky Germany is stopping, the VIP-Astra package need something new to make it worth 7$/month ? think about it :)

The only thing that may prevent from combining various packages into one can be that all package components (Vip-Astra is meant in this case) may have uncompatible parameters such as Caid, Idents, etc., and it is technically impossible to join them to one whole.

Thanks for your fast reply, I am glad you got the point of my message.
As explained I can only speak for Unitymedia NRW, which is simmilar to Unitymedia Hessen, where the name Unitymedia is absolutly wrong, there is only "Vodafone Kabel Deutschland" working in Germany (and a handful small local cable providers in addition) but technically the cable networks are still different as it was before.
I understand that there might be technical reasons, like Viaccess caid 0500 which is used by several providers and only make differences in the ident-parameter, while the ident is not properly recognized by many emulators *g* I do not see this interference here, all cable network ca-ids are unique (at least for the package VIP-Astra you might combine). It would be nice for me and some more, but I don't think there are many customers, who use satellite reception (like I do, I have Astra1/19°e + Astra2/28°e via multifeed) and have an active cable connection (I use cable for Internet, fastest and even acceptable cheap provider in my region). And the customers with cable-only (no dish) shouldn't matter, which VIP-package they get as both have the same price. But this people might be interested in a stand alone cable package for less money.

hi, how does it work with cable? I assume, I would need to have the Vodafone or Unitymedia provider to make this work.
