Sky Sports 1 freezing

Evening

Just asking/wondering if the server was under a huge load between 20.00 GMT and 22.00 GMT ?

There was a big football game on and the picture kept freezing every 20 seconds or so....

I tried several different images and 2 different accounts both using different EMU (camd3 and mgcamd 1.31)
Ping to the server was 70ms on average

I tried all 4 of the SP1 channels and there was no difference

Any ideas?

PS this was only happening on the Sky Sports 1 channel....

Try an alternative Sky Sports 1 channel, there are several available.

Those sky sports channel that freezes are technically blocked, the server blocks all duplicated channels.

Yep i tried all the repeat channels too and they are all the same......

thats not good advice for this problem.

I have tested 3 channels labeled 'Sky Sports 1'

all 3 channels works. tested for 60 seconds each.

clear and rescan the channels on your box because you may have old frequencies stored.

what I am saying is that they do work normally but on big football games they freeze.
is it a case of the server being really busy with the demand?

like i say on the next big game i will take a log and post to see if there anything obviois

what type of internet connection do you have?

These are the common internet connection
ADSL
ADSL2+
VDSL2

and do you use p2p programs at the same time? such as Torrents etc.

it is a 10 meg cable connection with a average ping to the server at 70ms.
There is nothing else running on my network at the time

One more advice - change server in the billing

I am a reseller so if i change server will it change everyone?

You are asking about your settings, and i advice you to change server. If anybody of your clients experiences problems- change his server too. But don't forget that you need to change their settings too, otherwise they will be banned.

During big football games, please provide your log-files when you experience freezing. Only in this way we can study and eliminate the problem, if any. Words "freezing" without confirmation are just words. Each time when you experience any problem, provide your log-file. We ask this every time and half of the forum is full of these requests - please, provide your log-file.

Is it possible to change just one clients server without changing them all? I could not see where to do this.
also i will provide a log file next time a big game is on and post it here. Just the server name removed?

If you are reseller, enter the billing, reseller section (enter as reseller).
Select the user you need, detach him from your reseller cabinet and enter the billing under his login-password.
Change the server for him, and attach him again. The user shall be disconnected from the server.
After you change server, you need to change the server in the user settings (i.e. visit him and make all necessary changes in his receiver). You are reseller, don't forget that you are fully responsible for your users.

I have done this to the problem client. Is it every hour that changes to server in the billing for existing customers takes place? Or will it be 6am moscow time?

You had to notice a pop-up message where it is written how many times and when the changes will be effective.

Hi I'm having the same problem, my Sky Sports 1 channel freezes when premiership football is showing, i also seem to have lost Sky sports 2&3.

Have you tried to rescan satellite?
Why are you using mgcamd1.27 ?
We recommend 1.31 or 1.35 versions.
