Cardsharing using OpenBOX 5S/S7/S8/S9

Run and restart of MgCamd emulator.
By default, MgCamd is disabled.
You can enable it by Menu > Conventional access >1407 > Built-in Card Slot > Turn off, then turn off receiver to stand-by and restart it, switching off the back switch.

When running again, receiver will be run with MgCamd enabled.
If it is required to restart MgCamd during operation, you can do it in 2 ways:
1.Menu==> blue button -- emu will stop
Menu ==> red button -- start emu again.
2.Press and hold Exit button for 2-3 seconds. Window "Restart" will appear and MgCamd will restart.

MgCamd cfg settings (emulator configuration)

All executable files available in var folder shall have 755 parameter.
It is recommended to assign 755 parameter to mg_cfg and newcamd.list in /var/keys/ directory, also assign it to priority.list and ignore.list, to start.sh file in /var/etc/ directory, and to mgcamd and newcs files in /var/bin/ directory.
How can you assign 755 rights ?
In Total Сommander, select the file required, select "file", "change attributes".
In the window appeared, change the highlighed value replacing it with 755, ОК.
in FlashFXP (a very good alternative to the Total Сommander"а) select the file, right click, attributes (CHMOD), also select 755.

Sharing settings using MgCamd(creation of newcamd.list)

Some servers block more than one connection to server, though allow access from one login to several packages.

Example.
Access 5 packages using newcamd protocol and 5 ports: 8000,8001,8002,8003, and 8004.

you may write like this -
CWS = server1.com 8000 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs
CWS = server1.com 8001 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

SoftCam.Key shall be empty
ignore.list, priority.list, and replace.list can be taken from our server
and placed to /var/keys/ directory

How to make log-file using MgCamd from receiver

Add the following to /var/keys/mg_cfg

# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 01 } 192.168.0.24 514 C:\Documents - IP address of your PC

Open telnet and enter receiver ip
Type vi /var/keys/newcamd.list - file address
To edit file, press i
To save, press Esc and :wq

Do this to add your account details to your new openbox s9. It is much easier then a 800hd since theres no messing around with images etc.

Go to Menu
MGCamd Plug Setup
Manage Config Files
newcamd.list
Press the green button


Now youll have a window up showing you where to input your given settings

Most of the time its Single Account

Host : server of your provider
Port
User
Password
DES key

All those are provided by your sharing provider. After all these settings are inputted, just restart the box by turning it off and on.

That's all you need to do to setup your account.

Hi,

I dont really want to be posting this but i need serious help as i have confused my self way to much!
I am new to cardsharing and have a Openbox S9 flashed with the latest firmware, i have also downloaded Openbox Mgcamd Explorer to my pc.
The problem being i dont know what to do next i cant seem to comunicate with my Reciever?

You are mistaken, dear. When i started sharing, i looked through a dozen of forums and learned everything by myself. You don't want to do that, you are looking for ready made solution on the forum with a few information on receivers. We are not support forum of Openboxes or other receivers and we are not a school. Please remember this. We are providing you with the most common settings suitable for majority of receivers. I adviced you to google, instrad, i hear a bullsh...t. If i hear one more word from you against this forum or moderators, you will forget how to enter here. Clear?
