I have Sky UK running with Media Portal, MDAPI_Plus and CSC 4.0.0.4 which works but I get frequent glitches. I viewed the MDAPI Plus logs and I've noticed that when I get a glitch, the DCW is 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00.
Does anyone know what is likely to be causing this? I guess it could be the server, CSC or MDAPI plus..
I would consider switching to something like an openbox receiver but I'm happy with the PC setup (when it's working) and I wouldn't want to buy a receiver without knowing if it will fix my glitching problem.

I have searched quite a lot which is why I am now trying CSC and media portal having previously used DVBLink TVSource.
My point was that I have noticed some specific behaviour (the zero DCW) and I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this.
I'm also interested to know whether I should expect the viewing to be glitch free (within reason of course). I presume yes since I haven't seen a lot of complaints but as I said, my experience with my - less than ideal - software setup so far has not inspired the confidence to buy a receiver.
Since media portal + CSC glitches less than DVBLink and media portal + acamd is fine on the test stream, I will give DVB dream a go and cross my fingers!

I have now tried dvb dream and progdvb.
Progdvb has glitches like all of the other software I have tried, dvbdream has been working well so I guess I will stick with that... I noticed that it sometimes hesitates after tuning the channel so I wonder if it is buffering unencrypted frames to account for the latency to the card server?
The CSC plugin is fine for most channels but some require the caid to be manually set. Luckily dvbdream allows the non relevant caids to be removed from the channel properties which fixes this problem.
I would prefer to use the setup that I had before but I will stick with this since it works. Unfortunately the epg in dvbdream is not great and It took a while playing with the directories filters to stop it freezing. But at least it's not glitching any more
