Hello Suma,
                   I normally don't have issues with these sorts of things and there is normally a much simpler answer to what I am searching.
1.  Does the file newcamd.list get created by "softcam" or does it need to be created? 
In my file list on BH (using DCC) on the reciever all I had was an example file. (newcamd.list.example.)  I have also installed Mgcamd but see no way within the image to "activate/turn on" the softcam.  I wonder what the hell I am doing wrong?  This cannot be this hard?  My problem is that I am getting conflicting information from many different places!  Not sure where to turn next except break it all down and start again with a new image?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi,
After MgCamd installation, all files are samples. BUT, you need to EDIT them using DCC.

If you have pure softcam.key file within MgCamd emulator (\usr\keys folder or the folder containing those files), delete it! It will prevent you from sharing and will cause a problem.
All you have to do is to edit the existing files according to our recommendations:

i.e. you need to open each of the required files (newcamd.list and mg_cfg - only 2 files) in edit mode and edit them. That's all. Restart emulator and watch TV

Thank you for answering my mail which for you must be getting late - you must live at work :).  Anyway I feel that I have done everything as I should but there is a problem - i don't think Mgcamd is active even though it is installed - this may be an image problem or in other places.  I will get to the bottom of it because I know it should work.  In the meantime I will organise a full subscription and then I'm not messing around trying to test on Discovery History (good channel choice BTW!).  I will advise when I get it sorted - hopefully over the weekend!

Hi!
I´m having also troubles. I have Newnigma2 in my original dreambox 7020HD
I installed online the Mgcamd 1.35, and copied the priority.list  ignore.list replace.list, changed the mgcamd.cfg as described...
I also deleted the contents of softcam.key and left it "blank"
But I don´t have any newcamd.list
What am I doing wrong?
Where can I get it from?

Read and try to create it manually if it is not available in the mgcamd emulator you have installed.

I created the newcamd.list as explained in your link and put it into my dreambox and now it´s working!!!
