hello.

i used before cccam 2.3.0 and every channel worked fined. but since some days i have sometimes freezers, so today i've changed to mgcamd 1.38
i took the config from your site and the channels work fine but only MTV HD (germany) doesn't work.

What are the channel parameters? Frequency, modulation, etc.

I believe the problem is related to a problem of HD+ package, see https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=33752.0

I was wondering myself, don't know any other HD+channel which is not decoded by Sky-Germany NDS 098C-card but obviously this channel does not serve caid 098C like all the other HD+channelds do. I am not sure if this is a problem of the channel/transmission but as long as the HD+problem with caid 1830 is not solved the channel will remain black.

there is no problem with a working HD+card. I have a card on my own (also caid 1830 like the one of the cs-server) and the channel works well

BTW @ viktorw:
you should remove caid 1833 (old Sky Germany Nagra card, not active anymore) from priority.list-file or even better replace it with 09 8C for new Sky Germany NDS card

Ok I'll try. Any other ideas how I should optimize the priority.list for German Astra channels ?
Sometimes I get freezers for example at pro7 fun hd 11875 frequency 27500mbits horizontal fec 3/4

It's annoying to get freezers although the Internet connection is fast enough 13mbits and 20-30 msec latency

with a VIP-Astra subscription I believe your priority.list should look like

what is for HD+(including MTV Germany HD), Sky Germany, ORF/AustriaSat, MTV-Viacom,  spanisch D+  and netherlands Canaal Digital.

If you also have an ignore.list make sure none of these CAIDs are listed there (or remove it completely, with a fine configured priority.list and VIP-Astra subscription a ignore.list is not really required

To optimize mg_cfg I would suggest to change parameters to:
C: { 00 }

looks like you use CCcam-Protocol to connect to the server. CCcam is nice and easy but if you use Mgcamd I would always suggest to use Newcamd protocol.
Go to the billing center > My subscription select Newcamd-protocol and safe the content of the "Mgcamd for Newcamd protocol" window on you box in the file newcamd.list (same directory where you have stored your cccamd.list), see explanation above the box.
Remove the cccamd.list to avoid problems (or simply rename it only), switch mg_cfg parameter G: { 32 } to G: { 01 }.
Restart Mgcamd or reboot your receiver (restart receiver if your not sure how to stop and restart Mgcamd to avoid rule violations)
BTW: MTV-problem was caused by server and should be solved since this morning.

VU+ receivers are similar to Dreamboxes based on Enigma image. Typically, for these systems, no ignore and priority lists are required. Delete ignore.list, priority.list (or empty them completely) and restart emulator.
Use our default settings from https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=28088.0 (also, before uploading ignore-priority files to your receiver, empty them). Only adjust mg_cfg file according to your type of receiver.
Read also the thread re: VU+ receivers https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?board=53.0 and find out which configuration is the best for your receiver.
If you failed and experience freezes again, reflash your receiver again and start from the beginning.

Check ping and route using WinMTR software. Probably, the route is not so good and loss can be recorded at any intermediate stops. Consequently, ask your internet provider to check the route to our server specifying the stops where the losses are recorded.

From your logs I see that one server is OK, the other one is not. I suppose that the other one is back-up server, right? If so, delete it from config file and reboot. See what happens

Running on first server is better but sometimes I get freezer but not so often like before. But I remember the times when I had no freezer here it was only some month ago.
Maybe u check your second backup server or do I loose connection on my trace log ?

Backup server is not very necessary to add. This is "in case" if anything happens with the main one. No need to check it, but for you, it is better to check internet connection to the backup server. Because nobody else is claiming against freezes on MTV, but you. And this means that with/or without backup server, the channel is running well. User Jogi and silence of other users is confirmation.
P.S. I think, Jogi has the same receiver that you have. Ask him for the most optimum firmware and settings (he has already recommended half of them)

Mtv is running with no problems but I sometimes get freezers but so often. Because you guarantee good connection with mgcamd and newcamd, that's why I try it but it's running not perfect.

no, I do not have that type of receiver, I have a CST Tank (4 Sat-tuners) with Neutrino OS and would never ever switch to crappy Enigma *g* but I know people with the VU+duo (not in real life only from internet) and everyone is very satisfied with the box, its for sure a good receiver (only a little bid too expensive).

I for myself use Oscam, but I have some friends with a subscription here where I have configured Mgcamd (easier to configure, does not needed to be reconfigured so often like Oscam on server or channel changes - when you "optimize" configuration for your needs, but without optimizing there is no advantage in Oscam). I am not sure if you can get original CCcam-emu for Vu+ boxes, what might solve your problem. Oscam and CCcam-protocol might be an option, but I dont think Mgcamd is a good CCcam-client, even if it is basically CCcam-capable.

By my own experience (Dual login user = no backup server available) there is no real advantage in the backup server, it only "looks good" and give more confidence for the user *g* but if I get calls from my friends regarding descrambling-problems its always the server itself and has nothing to do on which server and backup-servers these friends use. Additional servers from the same cs-server might help if there is an internet routing problem but at the end all servers ends up at the same viewing-cards and breakdowns affect all users at the same time regardless the servername in use :)

I am not an Mgcamd-specialist but I have take a look at your logfiles and find it very "strange" that it looks like your receiver is re-connecting all the time to the server what is very unusual for me (and should not be the result of your Mgcamd configuration). That seems to be a problem with your internet connection which might also be a local lan problem. If you use Wlan I would suggest to try it with a cable connection to your router but from the Mgcamd-logfile you cannot really see the reason for this frequently reconnections.

it's just annoying when you know that a few month before it worked fine...and then it doesn't work fine.....i pay for a service and take the software and all config files like advised...i look a movie for example and the movie freeze about 30 times in the whole movie........

you know if you pay for something then you deserve that it works, aren't you? so am i

btw i'm running on LAN and now wifi and in the last log you saw right that the box connected several times new because i was restarting emu to see if the changes will help...but they didn't

I understand that you are not satisfied with the situation but you should understand that even if its not your hardware and your settings its also not the cs-server responsible for the freezers, its working fine for me (and as there are no complains for most users).
What I see from your traces to the servers is no good performance. An average response time of 77ms seconds up to 200 is not fast.
Looks like your located near Hamm, thats not far away, I am near Dortmund *g* but even if I have more hops between me and the server (I am also on server 312) its much faster. The timeout in my log or the zeros in your logs do not matter, some servers simply do not reply to ping commands and/or do not respond with the servername and show only the IP, thats fine, but the server at the end respond to pings and there you have already a high average (means sometimes its even much more higher, thats most likely when you get the freezers).

But the encryption system used by Sky, NDS/Videoguard, needs codeword-replys in around 600ms - if your connection already "eats" up to 200ms there is not much space left for the server and your own receiver to process your ECMs. For HD+, ORF and Cryptoworks (MTVs except MTV Germany HD) the response time can go up to around 6000ms = 10 times more than for NDS/SkyDE, so I believe you only have problems with SkyDE ?
For SkyDE I see no solution but for HD+ (RTL, Sat1, Pro7 etc) you should prioritize Nagra encryption system. By default, without special configuration also the HD+ package is decoded by NDS (= short response time required/~600ms) but using Nagravision which is also part of VIP-Astra package your connection can be much slower (over all up to ~6000ms) and these channels will still not freeze (like MTV HD).
I also see that you have a Fritzbox router: have you already prioritized your satellite receiver for internet connection ? (if your Fritzbox has such a feature, depends on model and Fritzbox operating system). You need to use advanced view on the Fritzbox webinterface (use Google to see how to enable "erweiterte Ansicht", also depends on Fritzbox-typ and OS version) and most likely you will find this feature within Settings > Internet > Filter > Priorisierung: simply create a real time rule for your satellite receiver and "all ports". Fritzboxes and their Linux-based OS also known to get slower and slower, so if your box is already up and running for quite a while reboot the box what might increase the performance.

Everybody pays, not only you. But you forget to check the forum for the posts re: your problem. Advise: always read the forum starting from the bottom of the home page, "View the most recent posts on the forum"

If you see that you are not alone in your problem, them the problem is "global" (several users have the same problem, more than one post on the issue, etc.) and, consequently, it's the problem on the server. If not, sorry, that's your problem, problem of your settings, receiver, internet, whatever... Try to find out any reasonable solution.
To say "I pay for the service" is to say about nothing. Everybody pays. But, pay attention to the posts re: your problem. If you do not see such posts, sure the problem is on your side, not the server.

The fritzbox is configured fine already. I have now changed something and forced another decryption like you advised. It works better. I will call my internet provider and ask for a faster ping. Because they offer this.thank you

hello. it's me again.

now i have contacted my internet provider and booked the option FASTPATH so my ping is now twice as fast.
i bought a new frotzbox 7490

but the freezing are there.

so i found a new cardsharing provider and booked a 3 day test to try if it's problem with my sat receiver/internet provider or just with your server.

and i'm wondering that the new provider is working fine with now freezer etc.


so i tried everything but the problem is on your side (sorry to say).

and what now? a have much money here on my balance and its not nice to have freezers when it could be better.

Re: test from other provider - it's your right to find and use any CS-provider you like. The only question is: why did you book 3-day test from other provider and did not book it from us before purchasing full subscription?

You misunderstood me.

I'm a member since some years and until this summer I had no issues. But since some month I get freezers. And that makes me angry because until Summer's there were no problems. And you can images how nice it is to watch a movie with standing still pictures in the middle of the move. Therefore I tested a new provider because I have changed all the hardware to solve the problem and to check if it is a problem with my hardware or your server. And now I see that there are some issues with the servers. Because the cs with the other prived works fine.

I don't want to leave here. All I want is to get a fine connection with no issues with your server and to watch movies without a picture show in between.

Therefore i need your help. Please check the server at your side and maybe we will find a solution.

To be more specific, you are with us since 12.05.2014 (a bit more than 1 year).
Read Jogi's post (some posts above) and understand that if other users have no problem, it means that there is no problem with the server, but only with your a) internet provider; b) wrong settings of receiver (emulator); c) position of your dish.
So, I have nothing to tell you against your arguments as other users have no problem with MTV HD. I have more reasons to trust them more than you. Sorry
According to our server statistics, you are using VPN connecting to the server using either Italian or German IPs, moreover- you are using WiFi, and this is not acceptable as WiFi is unstable and only extends the time of request from the server.
You are making problems by yourself.
If you are waiting a solution from us - our advice is not to use VPN, not to use WiFi. For one day, as experiment, don't use BOTH and you will see that all your problems will disappear.

its not about mtv
it's about pro7 hd with 1830 caid or sky with 098c

i'm not using vpn i#m connected direct via router/modem fritzbox with ethernet cable.

i can show i picture how it's connected....and i'm not a noob.
please don't take it personal. i'm only confused why it worked in the summer perfect and now not. i didn't changed anything in the meantime.
and why it's working with the other provider fine. a don't want to change the provider because i want to stay here.

how could this be configured wrong when it worked in the summer fine?

so please help me instead saying to me something about vpn or wifi which is absolutely wrong

pro7 hd and sky are only examples...it also has freezing pictures with other hd+ (1830) or sky (098c) channels... and also mit mgcamd (cccam) or cccam directly or oscam

i only want to figure out why this happens here and not with the other provider...(the other one want more money so this is one reason why i don't want to change the provider)

The only thing I suggest you - to flash your receiver again and use only one emulator with all recommended settings
At least, take free test to adjust your receiver properly. You may freeze your current subscriptions (if more than one) and take free test for every package you want even every day until you are sure that everything is OK with your receiver. We give general recommendations for everybody, don't wait for any personal assistance. Read all re: VU+ receivers, their firmware, their problems and make a general conclusion what is required for proper settings.

i tried already everything flashed everything new choose one emulator etc.

the last solution was for me to test an new provider to see if its because of my configuration/hardware or something else....
now i have started (as you can see) mgcamd with newcamd (finger crossed) and i hope that it won't freeze...

and believe me, I am also nothing more than a normal user of the server like you
as you said yourself: it worked fine for a year - like for any other user (without problems)
do you see increases of complains since summer (perhaps you might find one or two, but keep in mind that SkyDE switched from Nagra encoding system = response times up to ~5500-6000ms works fine to NSD = 550-600ms time = 10time short, to deliver the required codeword to the receiver)
However, if you priories CAID 1830 for HD+ (MTV-HD, Pro7-HD etc) the response time can still be up to 6000ms - as its not working for your I think the timeouts from your traces show the bad connection to the server and timeout for CS means codeword-loss = freezing

It might be possible that you do not change anything but perhaps your ISP has ? not for you/your contract but by the routing - and it is possible that other cs-servers using other routing by your ISP is not affected by the problem. But I do not know how to contact your provider and complain regarding this "special issue" *g* I would not suggest to show your ISP traces to a cs-server :)

As you wrote you are not unexperienced:
perhaps try to use a mobile phone connection !
I relocated last year and was missing cable internet for some weeks and I had no problems to use my mobile phone connection (Samsung S4 and Vodafone/D2-network, most times only connected with "G" service - I am not a specialist on mobile phone thing, but if an Android, or at least Samsung shows "G"status for data-connection its the slowest connection possible *g* and CS works fine, also on time critical NDS system, at that time not used by SkyDE but for SkyUK NDS is in use for years and require the same short response from the server like SkyDE now. OK, for SkyUK it might freezes from time to time as NDS is really time critical).
Create a WLan-hotspot on your mobile and connect your receiver this way, it worked fine for me (and my receiver do not even has direct WLan included, I needed to go through an Accesspoint via cable to connect to the mobile phone via WLan).

At the end, if you cannot find a solution on your side/by your settings I do not know a solution than switching ISP or CS-server (especially as you already found one which works fine)

If you have a single user account perhaps try to use the backup server only ! I am not sure if this is possible and allowed (and as explained I cannot test it myself) so perhaps wait for ~a day and see if suma confirm this option or forbid it *g*
If "backup-server only" works,  perhaps suma/administrator can switch your account to another cs-server where you have a better connection

Otherwise perhaps create a new cs-account for testing (one channel only as we know) assuming that this new cs-account will be located on another server. If this works administrator might be possible to switch your account to that server, or refund you on your current cs-account that you simply use a new one
