Error with mgcamd (cannot parse this emu)

Hello,

Im running a DM800se with OpenPli and mgcamd 1.35a. I've configured mgcamd by reading the topic about it in this forum and placed all files in the keys directory and editted the cfg file. When watching TV a lot of channels stay black and I see the error "Cannot parse this emu".

With Cccam I can watch more channels but some channels in the package still stay black but an error is not generated.

Since Cccam is not recommended I hope someone can help me with setting up mgcamd, clearly I must have miss configured something.

Hi, I'm trying to watch the Canal Digitaal package on SAT 19.2E. Most of the Dutch channels generate the 'cannot parse this emu' with mgcamd enabled.

There can be a million reasons of why you have black screen. SkyUK is working OK.

Hi Suma,

I've updated my profile and tried to setup mgcamd logfile but without any succes. I've followed instructions in other threads to set it up but no logfile is created on my PC.
mg_cfg line is: L: { 02 } 192.168.1.36 28007 (where 192.168.1.36 is ip of my W7 x64 pc). I've installed 3CSyslog and editted settings to listen to DM's ip 192.168.1.50.
Firewall shouldn't be an issue as I also disabled it to check if it works without, but even without firewall nothing gets logged.

Hi Suma,

I've noticed that some of my problems have to do with waiting somewhat longer. With mgcamd most of the channels come up after 5 seconds. With Cccam this is not the deal and channels will display instantly. I've tried to solve the 5 seconds problem by replacing some mgcamd files with new onces you supplied in other thread (faster zapping) but this had no effect.

These channels wil not display with mgcamd or cccam on the canal digtaal package: Discovery, KidsCo, Hustler, Eén, Ketnet, Canvas. (maybe also other channels but didn't check everything)

About logging with mgcamd, is it also possible to write the log to the dreambox itself instead of sending it to a pc?

Hi,
I think, all your troubles with long waiting for the channel to be opened is in image. Change it and see what happenned.
As for internal log viewing - consult dreambox forums. We are providing only some initial issues on cardsharing. The details you are asking for are details, and we expect the users coming to us to be prepared somehow to the cardsharing issue.

Addition to my last message. I found out Canvas/Ketnet and Eén are not part of the CanaalDigitaal package, but are part of the TV Vlaanderen package, my mistake. In the list of available packages I see TV Vlaanderen comes with free CanalDigitaal package. So I think I better could have chosen for that package instead of the current one. Or are there still differences?

Thanks, will chk with other image and will also dive into the log thing. I'm a newbie on this so I'm glad I came this far already :-)

TV Vlaanderen is currently unavailable (read News and announcements). Cards problem.
