Server5 Glitching

Hi,

I have been on server2 for a few months and its been mostly okay, but over last few weeks has been glitching (i read your post about problems with internet on server2).

So I moved to server5 in germany yesterday as its closer to me, but server5 seems to be worse than server2. Server5 is glitching every few minutes, compared to server2 maybe once an hour since the recent internet problems with server2, but before that i had maybe one or two glitches a month!

Are there problems with server5?

I can't provide any log data as skybox doesn't provide access to log data.

Can you define what exactly is glitching?
Is picture falling apart or getting frozen from time to time?

The audio and/or picture is breaking up for a few seconds, but signal strength remains high, sometimes the scrambled message appears at the same time.

Please provide more description of your problem: channel, frequency, time of glitching.
These are general words meaning nothing. We need specific and particular information to study the issue, if any

Hi,

I'm using the latest firmware and use AJ's channel list, which uses those settings. I also use the ignore and replace files you have on the forum.

Until the recent server2 issues you posted about on the forum I've had no problems for many months, so my set up must be fine.

I was on server2 yesterday and had some instances were 'scrambled' appeared for a few seconds then the channel resumed, or it would breakup and say scrambled and resume, but this happened only a few times per hour when it was occuring.

I then changed to server5 and the issue was a bit different, instead of saying scrambled, the picture and audio seem to break up for a seond, sometimes a few seconds, and sometimes the scrambled message would come up. The glitches were more frequent on server5 than server2 this morning, sometimes every minute or every few minutes.

I've had the live signal information on screen whilst these break-ups in audio/video happen and the signal is solid throughout. FTA channels are fine.

The issues seems to be server end. Channels frequently watched are Nick Junior, Nick Junior +1 and Nick Junior 2.. bloody kids taking over the TV!

One question: is Sports 1 HD is OK for you? Can you check please?
We are checking Nick Junior now - 5-7 minutes, everything is OK.

It does not look like channel specific. I am watching ESPN HD now and it gets stuck for short periods at least every two minutes. It is not that bad as few days ago, when it was freezing completely.

Things were very bad yesterday yes, picture/sound was breaking up or scrambled error was coming up every minute or every few minutes. It seems to have resolved its self since the posts yesterday.

I'll be sure to update if I notice any issues.

Hm, very strange. If you did not write about issues yesterday, then - everything was OK for you and for other users. Why are you talking about it only today? Yesterday has gone.

Ricksat, did you have any problems on Sunday? Because I did not have any problems yesterday!

Sunday was fine, but i didnt watch much of the paid channels on sunday
