SID and your receiver

Q: There is a problem with viewing UPC Direct. Once I can watch UPC channels, other time I cannot. What is the reason?

A: Some packages of the billing system have (correct SID sending by receiver) notification.
    It means that your receiver must be able to sent correct SID to the server in order to receive the keys for encrypting and viewing the channel        you want. SID is a special identification code of the provider.

What does 000000/0000/ means? It means that your receiver is sending "0" SID to the server, and the server does not know which key is to be sent to your receiver. As a result, no key is being sent to the receiver and you are unable to watch the channel.

Other example.

Suppose, you were lucky to open the channels of the package which requires sending correct SIDs to the server.
Suddenly you see black screen.
What happenned?
It may happen, that some user who has a receiver which correctly sends the SIDs to the server,  tuned the channel which you are going to watch. You seem to enjoy watching the same channel and everything is OK. But suddenly you see black screen and nothing more. You are trying to reboot your receiver, check teh MPCS or whatever you are using to watch the channel, and nothing is changing- black screen.
It means that as soon as the other user with correct SID receiver stopped watching the channel, and you are unable to watch it too.

CONCLUSIONS: change your receiver and purchase the one which correctly sends the SIDs to the server. Please don't blame provider, settings, server, software, or moderator. Blame your receiver only.
