The last 2 lines tell that your receiver sends requests to the server and receives the keys. This is not server issue that the keys are not received regularly. The other thing is that your CS is UNSTABLE and emulator is "hiccoughing". This is a problem of either firmware or emulator.
To downgrade EMU from 1.38 to 1.35, I need to know what is the firmware - Experimental 2010-07-21? Where did you get it? I suggest that 1) you have to upgrade your firmware, for example, by installing, say, OpenPli image from here http://openpli.org/download/dm500hd/ or Domica image www.domica.biz
2) When you upgrade your image (firmware), read further instructions on the above forums how to install MgCamd 1.35(a)

OK I managed to uninstall Mgcamd 1.38 but I am so far unable to install 1.35a:
I download the tar.gz file from here:

put it in /tmp, reboot Dreambox but when I check in /usr/bin/ there is no mgcamd_1.35a file there.
What am I doing wrong? Should I just put the file there manually?

I installed 1.35a manually but it's not working at all. Any idea why? I got it from http://www.dreamboxtool.com/MGcamd/MgCamd-1-35a-Complete-for-e2.html , maybe it's not the correct file for my Dreambox?
If I switch back to 1.38 it works again, but you said this version is not really supported.
Regarding upgrading my image, I am terrified to do this because I'm afraid I'll either break something or lose all my settings, sorry. :(

Could it mean my image is really not compatible with this 1.35a? But then how come 1.38 works and it's almost the same as 1.35 except a few bugfixes?

I think so. Sometimes, image and emulator are not compatible. BUT, there are some images (i mentioned them above - OpenPli or Domica) with menu from where you can download the emulator required. For instance, I have Domica 9 image (for my DM800 SE HD) with the menu where i can select- which version of mgcamd shall be installed. I just select the emulator required, download it from menu and use it. That is why I asked you- what kind of image do you have? Experimental... - i never heard about it. My suggestion - read the HARDWARE section of the forum (Dreamboxes sub-forum) and consider, what kind of images are used in most cases. experimental is experimental, but the most known images have more stable reputation. Moreover, they have support forums and a lot of discussions- what, where, when, etc.

Don't be afraid to do so, because from the http://www.dreamboxtool.com/, you may find a lot of useful utilities designed for preserving (backup) your settings, list of channels, etc.

Probably, you will not be able to download them from the links provided (long time has passed since they were published), but I am sure, you will find them at http://www.dreamboxtool.com/

I think my current image is Gemini Project experimental, and I heard I will need to first install a 2nd stage bootloader before I can flash the image, and this sounds too terrifying. I'd rather figure out why 1.38 works and 1.35 doesn't, to be honest.
