Sky Sports 1 freezing

Hello i have the same problem, only on sky sports 1 and only during big football matches.

Tonight Liverpool Man City, freezing started at about 55-60 minutes into the game, this has happened before.

Strange that on Sunday I watched all day with no freezes. Have rescanned and already have all config from forum in place, same with all ss1 channels.

Interesting that I also have cable internet but 30MB.

What log file do you need?

Just to add, 15-20 mins after game finishes ss1 is back to normal and stable, no freezes.

Please provide your log-files when you notice freezes (during big games or whatever). Without log-files, the problem cannot be solved. What was 15-20 minutes ago- has gone. Next time, when you see freezes- make log and provided it. We cannot investigate the problem (if any) without logs.

I am having the same problem Sky sports 1 freezing every 5-10 sec and i had no sky sports 2 tonight as everyone else is saying this only happens when a big game is on all other times it is fine and all other channels fine at this time of happening.

I notice it is requested to take a log at these time how would i do this?

Also do you have anymore recommendations to try

Of the two channels available (SkyUK Sports 1 HD), one must work without freezes. Check the both channels and stay on the one which is not freezing.

if you read stuball2's sig, it says he has dm500s which is a Non-HD Receiver.

Yes i saw it, thanks. Initially, we talked about SkyUK sports 1 (SD) channel. Moderator is notified, and he will check when a big game starts - whether there are freezes or not. Everybody is recommended to show their log-files during freezes - i think, it is not a problem?

Hi i have followed your instructions step by step but still no log is being created i have opened the port 514 and also allowed this port on my fire wall but software is still not taking a log could you try and help me out please.

I cannot try and help you as ready-made tutorial is provided on the forum. Everybody who tried it was success, but you. Try again and again until you are lucky.

Hi i now have it working and have log files what do i need to send you as i am still getting freezing on sports channels when there is a big game on.

Hi,
We need a log (with server name and port No. replaced with XXXXX) when you experience freezes during big games.
Log must be at least 3-4 minutes standing on one channel.

What can i do for you? For other users, Sky Sports channels are working fine.

Hi how do i check what SID my channel is and also go about changing it if it needs changed

The simplist method when I want to change my channel SIDs is to run DreamBoxEdit. 

It grabs the channel list from your box. You can then go to your Sky Sports channels or whatever you want to look at.

I go to the main window that lists every channel. Click on the 'Service' tab to sort by Service name, and go to Sky Sports 1HD for example.  You will see the 3 duplicate channels, assuming your receiver scanned them.  Find the one with correct SID, and drag and drop it in to your Bouquet.  Click the FTP button and send the new channel list to your receiver.

That is the way I do it.

The other way, is view all the channels on that box, and view the 3 channels individually and see which one doesn't freeze and glitch.  But prepared to be banned for 10 mins if you stay on that channel too long etc...
