Here is a complete guide how to flash receiver with firmware (image) and set up vu+ using BlackHole 2.1.0 image and CCcam 2.1.4 emulator:
The image is written directly to flash memory of your Vu+ receiver. This operation is not risk free!
Please note that this will erase all your data on Vu+. Do not unplug the receiver during flash procedure.
This guide is for advanced users.
For this, you will need the following:
- Your box Vu+
- A USB drive formatted under FAT32
- Dreambox Control Center (DCC) : HERE (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/dcc296.zip)
The following files are required:
- BlackHole image: Uno (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vuuno_usb.zip), Solo (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vusolo_usb.zip), Duo (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vuduo_usb.zip), Ultimo (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vuultimo_usb.zip), Solo² (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vusolo2_usb.zip) and Duo² (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/BlackHole-2.1.0-vuduo2_usb.zip)

1) Unzip and copy an image to the USB stick:
BlackHole image shall be copied to the root of your USB stick
2) Update VU+ :
- Turn off Vu+ (unplug) or using ON/OFF button.
- Insert the USB stick into the USB port on the front of Vu+
- Switch Vu+ on (electrically reconnect) and follow the instructions you see on Vu+ display.
- Once the update procedure is complete, shut down Vu + (electrically disconnect)
- Remove the USB stick
- Reboot Vu+
(For Vu+ Solo and Vu+ Zero only)
Update procedure of Vu + Solo is automatic (files from your USB stick will automatically be loaded to the receiver).
- To start on the front button of your Vu + Solo LED Red / Orange will be lit and LED flash your USB stick: Reading USB key.
- After 2 or 3 minutes LED Red / Orange your Vu + Solo flash (that of your USB key will not be lit): flashing your Vu + Solo.
- When installation is complete, the LED of your Vu + Solo will be Green (that of your USB key will not be lit): your Vu + Solo is flashed.
3) Install TSpanel plugin:
- Prepare downloaded enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_7.3_mips32el.ipk (https://www.cardsharing.cc/images-for-manuals/VU+/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_7.3_mips32el.ipk)
- Open DCC and complete the fields as shown on the image.
Name: root
Default password: vuplus

- Click FTP tab.
- In the left window, open the /tmp directory. In the right window, open the PC folder with the TSpanel plugin.

- Using green arrows between the two windows, transfer TSpanel plugin to the /tmp directory.

- On the remote control, select menu with Vu + /Addons/IPK manual installation, select TSpanel plugin, press OK, then YES. At the end of installation, press OK and reboot vu+

4) Installing CCcam 2.1.4 :
- Press green button on your remote control to access addons menu

- Select Cccam-2.1.4-full-blackhole_04.04.2013_all, then ok

- Wait for installation
- Reboot vu+
How to enable CCcam 2.1.4 :
By pressing blue button on the remote control, you'll get access to the blue panel that enables softcams, etc.
Once on the blue panel made has left or right to the place there is marked Common interface CCcam 2.1.4, then ok.
