technomate 8000HD setup on sky uk hd package

Could anyone help me by telling me how I setup the technomate 8000hd package on sky. I am technically literate & understand the billing side of things but cannot work out what I need to do to get the box set up when it arrives. Things like do I need to fit custom firmware that sort of thing?
