Slightly too many requests
« : 15 Мая 2015, 23:26:25 »
dear suma and anyone else who is willing to help,

i ordered a 3 days test for Sky GER package and tried a lot. several emulators and several protocols on several images. Currently im running with the specs you can see in my signature. everything seems fine to me. the only problem is the amount of request i send. it is about 1 request every 7-8 seconds, resulting in 480-510 requests per hour. i know the limit is 360/h. I used the config i found in "my subscrition", i dont use any other files (i.e. prio or ignore lists).
questions:
1. is there a way to reduce those requests clientside? i did my best on research but didnt find anything.
2. is the amount of those requests a problem at all, because i dont think it is a big load for cards.
3. will i get banned if that is the only problem?

thx in advance
here is a log file, maybe it helps:

Hi, 1 request per 7-8 seconds - it's normal number of requests for Sky De. Typically, it's 1/10 sec for other packages. As some providers changed the frequency of sending keys, our statistics has also been changed.
If you receive any notification from the server that the number of requests exceeds the limit, then it will not be good, of course. However, I don' t see any violations right now. All is normal.
As for your log-file, it shall look like this: https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=32632.0
It shall be clearly seen when response from the server is received (it is always specified in ms). If you analyze your log-file, you have to see that response is received each 7-8 seconds.
One more thing, only if you use MgCamd 1.35(a) emulator, a stable work of CS is guaranteed. Look through the posts of other users and read their signatures - which firmware, which emulators are used https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?board=53.0
Also study item 2 of  https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=28487.msg79128#msg79128 what is considered frequent reconnections to the server.

Dear moderator

I am a novice here around
I have subsription for skylink 23e
since couple of days I noticed on my ariva 202e that it takes increasingly more time till the decoded channel appears on my tv.
I try not to zap (to switch channels) to fast but sometimes I do so unwittingly anyway .
yesterday my personal connection panel overview shown a message "violation reason : ..number of caid requests : 1..."
I connect my ariva 202e to 1 server at once only (either to the main or to the backup one), never to both ones simulatneously.
what should solve my problem ?
to sum up my problem concisely :
1. increasing amount of time showing "blank" screen there on my tv until I finally receive selected channel (lasting as much as up 15-20 seconds)
2. the message stating my alleged violation "..request for caid.."

what would you suggest me to amend to resolve my issue please ?
any idea from you would be appreciated

many thanks in advance

hello

thank you for a message
let me ask you :
- is ariva 202e as the receiver itself blacklisted as well ?
- may I stay connected on both - main and the backup server (using the same login + pwd + port) simultaneously ?

looking forward for your reply

If you were attentive and read all the topics in the thread Re: Ferguson-Ariva receivers, you had to notice that Ariva 200 only is blacklisted.

- may I stay connected on both - main and the backup server (using the same login + pwd + port) simultaneously ?

You are provided with 2 servers (main and backup) for your receiver to connect the both. This is in case that main server fails, receiver will use backup server.
If you go on receive notifications about rules violation, delete backup server from the settings and leave only main server.

dear Suma

thank you for your early reply
being you I should not hint me being not attentive enough
it is quite the way around - I read all topics which I found decisive and crucial ones for my receiver + those ones which comprise anything which concerns proper settings needed for the purpose of smooth uninterrupted receipt of the channel´s range (by means e.g. of "how to do.." threads) even though they turn sometime further on into almost endless multiple alternation between inquiries and the replies speaking about the completely different topic as at the very beginning of the thread

I did so as you advised to yesterday (I switched both the main and the backup server running logged-on at the same time on my ariva 202e) and today I got this kinda message sticked to the reserve/backup server to read :
" Duplicated requests : 1. Your receiver is sending requests to the server on multiple occasions. Most probably that ecm-timeout parameter of emulator is underrated. Set the value of 5000 milliseconds minimum as a time of server response. Violation of rule No.4"

what is that please ?
is there anything I can adjust accordingly yet ?
I found no "time-out" setting item there in the menu of the receiver not even in the "hidden" menu after all..

any help and/or advice higly appreciated

thank you in advance
sincerely

That is why I asked you to read all topics re: Ariva. Firmware of this receiver is designed so that user can only add some ready data (port No., server name, etc), but cannot modify them.
I think, no way to amend something for you in your receiver, just wait for firmware update or change receiver (the most used are linux-based receivers).
Maybe, any of Ariva owners will advise you something.

dear Suma

thanks a lot for your early reply
I shall look out for any fw update/upgrade for this one

yet 1 thing - what would you think : is this kind of message (as cited by me after receipt from the backup server earlier today) a real threat to me to be banned/blocked/penalized in particular in case should this condition (the reason why I received that message from the connection overview panel) would repeat more times in the future ?

sincerely

It depends on the firmware and emulator built-in your receiver. As you cannot change anything inside, tech.support shall do that within the firmware they produce.
What i can suggest is to change protocol and emulator.
If you have mgcamd built-in, try mgcamd (1.35 is recommended).
If you fail, change receiver.
