cable C Line in cccam.list
« : 10 Сентября 2016, 13:56:30 »
Hi Suma,

I have now a C line for cable connection. I have put it into cccam.ist (using MgCamd) and all appears ok.

Question is, is this ok or will it cause any violation...requests rejects increase etc?

thanks

Hi,
If I understood you correctly, you are using Cccam protocol with Mgcamd emulator https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=33652.0 ?
If all your config files are from our server https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=28616.0 , everything must work without problem.

Everything is working.

But, when I switch from sat channel (your server) to a cable channel (local server).....the number of 'requests rejected' in statistics page increases by 1.

What is the max number of 'requests rejected' before a violation is issued?
Is there anything I can change to stop it increasing?

Thanks

In VU+ receivers, only 1 cable shall be connected at a time.
For 2 or more cables, different settings shall be probably used. Unfortunately, our server can be used for sharing only (1 or more CS providers) but not for cable TV or whatever. Settings provided on our forum are for the receivers used for CS.
Re: max number of "requests rejected", refer to Server Rules https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=32618.0 (item 4, I think).
Generally speaking, read FAQ https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?board=30.0
You fill find many interesting things and will, probably, have less questions.
P.S. It is good to read sub-forum re: VU+ receivers https://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?board=53.0
Maybe, you will find anything helpful for you too.
Read all topics and get a general picture of the receiver.

Apologies, I have caused confusion with using 'cable'.

In my case:
Cable = cable tv provider(UPC local).....not physical cable :)

this problem can occur if your cable provider is also transmitting ECMs for satellite decoding cards (technically CAIDs). So first question: which CAIDs are used for your cable-cs-line and which CAIDs have you subscribed here on the server ?
If both cs-provider/c-lines uses the same CAIDs for decoding there is no way to avoid sending ECMs to the wrong cs-server. If your additional cable cs-provider uses a different CAID for decoding you can prioritize this CAID (use Google and search for "mgcamd priority.list"). If this CAID of your 2nd cs-server is not transmitted by satellite thats fine, otherwise you will run in the same problem on the 2nd server.

If both provider uses the same CAID or both used CAIDs which are transmitted by your cable provider and via satellite as well, there is no option within Mgcamd. But you could use Oscam and create services for each provider where you can define TV-channel service-ids. Than you can stick this services to a reader (c-line), one list of services for your cable-cs-server and another one for this cs-server to make sure only ECM requests for channel this cs-server can decode are send to the server

Usually every emulator does offer some gateway settings like:

Satchannel CAID XXXX -> use card 1
Cablechannel CAID YYYY -> use card 2

at the moment your settings are wrong. The emulator will ask every card for a cw.

If your emu wont work correctly switch to mpcs or oscam.

Edit: I just did read the last sentences of JOGis post. He did write the same.

There is no emu that I know, which ask every card (card = caid) for a codeword. The ecm is only send to cards if the caid of the stream matches the caid of the reader. It depends on the cable provider, if he does not stream sat caids (usual in Germany) or even uses his own card (=caid) which are not available via satellite there is no problem at all. So obviously UPC transmit sat-caids otherwise there would be no problem.

Within Oscam you can stick srvids (service ids = "specific channels") to a reader also when they use the same caid you can specify which reader is used.
If your cards uses different caids (thats still possible, even if your cable provider serve all caids in the signal) and when you are using dvbapi-mode, you can create a oscam.dvbapi file to specify which caid is used for specified srvids, otherwise you can use oscam.services-file to stick srvids to a specific reader even if both cs-server cards/readers uses the same caid.
For Oscam (and also MPCS) you find good explanations and exampes of configuration on http://www.streamboard.tv/wiki/Hauptseite (several languages)
