Hi All,
I apologize if I just being stupid but am lost as to what is wrong.
I have a spiderbox 9900 HD using Newcamd and did a test on Sky UK package without any issues so I purchased the Ultra package.
I entered everything in as I did when I was doing the test but with the live details. I put the sky uk port in (5 digits although I see a lot more next to the post number that I don't understand.
Anyway, I saved and exit and see I'm connected with 1 card. However nothing on sky uk is clearing, including the test channel I did before.
I tried last night when I bought the package and again after Moscow time this morning, again nothing.
I have tried another package (Sky Italia) but still everything is scrambled
I'm at a loss if I'm doing something wrong?

1. When purchasing a test, you saw this:

Which data and where did you put in?
You are always provided with the following data:
server (host) name
port No.
login
password
Did you put in all these data? Where did you put the data in?
When purchasing a full subscription, you saw this:

It's the same CWS line provided to you in the form of line (not table as in the sample above).
You see the same data required to put in:
server (host) name
port No. (XXXXX on the pic)
login
password
If you have noticed, in the test, server (host) name was given as IP address.
However, in the CWS line, it is provided in the other form- as a server name server123.com (for example).
If you fail connecting the server using server name, replace it with IP address.
How to check IP address of the server? From your PC, start menu, select command line and enter ping server123.com and press enter. The only thing you need to do is to replace server123.com with the server name given to you in the CWS line.

Thanks for your quick response.
With a Spiderbox you do not have access to the config file as you would with some of the other boxes. Instead you have a client user interface.
First I select emulator: select Newcamd
Then host: I put the hostname provided not an IP
ID: I put the ID I was told to on my subscription page
Password: password as told on subscription page
Port: 5 digit number from sub page next to Sky uk package
DES: as in test
Apply and exit.
After that I see a summary of all my client connections and their status. The status for this says that I have connected successfully and have one card. Upon viewing channels I see nothing but scrambled.
I have another client connection to sky uk which I turn off whilst doing this (as I did during the test). That one works with no problems and is newcamd as well.
As I said the test worked fine doing this same procedure but obviously different credentials. The fact it says connected and one card tells me I'm connecting ok. If i change any details it shows as disconnected and 0 cards.

It is possible this is a CAID/Ident issue but I'm not so sure as the test worked fine without it.
I will try using CCCam instead to see if that works any better.
I also have an old box knocking about I might be able to try as that lets me edit the config file.

Anything is possible- either CAID/IDENT issue, or emulator issue (lack of details entered), etc. etc. Try all possible options (we have newcamd and cccam) and visit spiderbox support forums as well. Free test can be taken even every day until you are sure that receiver works properly.
