How is it possible to restore Dreambox500 (in particular, tuxbox907)

Q: I heard that it is possible to upload a firmware to the receiver using COM-port... Null-modem cable is available. What shall I do next?

A: Download the software from here:

Step-by-step instructions:
1. Turn Dreambox off the power from the electric network.
2. Connect PC and Dreambox using null-modem cable.
3. Run DreamUP and select COM-port required.
4. Press Connect.
5. After "connection prepared" appears, turn Dreambox on.
6. Loader will start up and the remaining buttons of the software eill be active.
7. Press "Erase" (flash-memory will be erased).
8. Press "Flash" and select image (valid) required.
9. New firmware will be uploaded for about 15 minutes, the old one will be erased and the control sum will be checked.
10. Confirmation that you have uploaded right image will the the following note "Flash update finished, result 0"
11. Turn Dreambox off the electric network.
