ferguson ariva 102e review

I tested 2pcs of Ariva 102e over two month period with different software and solutions, and come to the following.

Pros:
- Very cheap dvb-s2 receiver

Cons:
- W02 wifi adapter don't work, maybe broken drivers. Don't use wifi on this device, buy yourself a network power-line adapter kit and use the onboard ethernet.
- Buggy patch firmware, most stable patch firmware i tried is 'A102E_20120808_V1.19B1_patch'.
- Need of  null modem cable if firmware halt with ash(a5h) code.
- Gets very hot, need ventilation.
